Laser Genesis Skin Therapy uses advanced science to achieve vibrant, even skin tone and smooth texture in both men and women. Light penetrates deeply into the skin where collagen is manufactured, stimulating an increase of new collagen production. Unlike harsher methods, this is done without destroying the upper layers of skin (non-ablative). The Laser Genesis procedure safely, discretely and effectively treats scars, uneven textures, fine line wrinkles and large pores. The result is skin with smoother texture and a healthier appearance. The skin is gently warmed during this procedure, and daily activities may be resumed right away. This is truly a rejuvenating experience with no downtime.
WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT DO?
Genesis skin rejuvenation employs laser light targeted to the dermis, the deeper layer of the skin, where collagen is made. The laser heats the dermis causing new collagen production that continues over time. The result is more even skin tone, tighter pores and a smoother skin texture. Laser also targets the microvasculature (tiny vessels) beneath the skin surface, decreasing diffuse redness and ruddy complexions.
Large pore size, uneven skin color and texture, diffuse redness and “bags under the eyes” are also effectively treated.
HOW DOES THE CUTERA LASER GENESIS TREATMENT WORK?
By gently heating the upper dermis well below your skin’s surface, Laser Genesis stimulates collagen regrowth. Additional heat is generated in dilated capillaries to reduce redness. Laser Genesis of the entire face is generally performed in less than one hour. Because the procedure is quite comfortable, no anesthesia or medication is necessary.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
The treatment results are often subtle. On average, you may require four to six treatments in order to achieve optimal results. Every patient’s condition and needs vary. Over the course of four to five treatments, Laser Genesis can help restore the skin’s youthful glow and appearance by smoothing out uneven texture caused by aging, sun damage or scars. You will see a more even, healthy complexion as large pores are reduced in size, and minor imperfections are diminished. The individual treatment results are subtle, but the overall effect of multiple treatments can be quite dramatic.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
The number of treatments needed depends upon the problem being treated but usually ranges from four to six treatments spaced three to four weeks apart. Results are generally seen after just one treatment, but a series of treatments is required for optimum results. Depending on the concern being addressed, your provider may recommend other treatments in conjunction with Laser Genesis, such as Vitalize Peel or Titan non-surgical facelift. These may be alternated with Genesis if needed.
WHAT IS LASER GENESIS USED FOR?
Laser Genesis improves the skin’s overall appearance, particularly on face, neck and chest, decreasing fine line wrinkles and restoring even skin tones. Laser Genesis evens out acne scarring and is particularly effective in combination with other treatments such as chemical peels. Genesis can also be used to improve the appearance of other scars anywhere on the body. Genesis tightens pores and improves skin texture, smooth’s ruddy complexions and diffuses excessive facial redness, including that caused by rosacea.
HOW LONG WILL MY LASER GENESIS RESULTS LAST?
One of the greatest advantages of Laser Genesis is that the results continue to accumulate after each treatment and continue far beyond your last treatment. In fact, accelerated collagen production continues following Laser Genesis, peaking at about 12 weeks after your last treatment, then continuing at a steady increased rate. Because the natural aging process is of course continuing, it is difficult to state precisely how long results will last, but benefits seem apparent for several years. Sun protection and attention to skin care are necessary to maintain optimal results. In the case of acne scarring and rosacea, it is necessary to control the underlying condition in order to avoid further skin disruption.
